ProSBC – An Introduction and Closer Look

In October 2017, TelcoBridges took the bold step to offer FreeSBC, a software-based session border controller product, to the market. Since then, over 10 million sessions of FreeSBC software have been downloaded by thousands of users around the globe. Many of those sessions are now in production or various stages of evaluation. During that time, we at TelcoBridges have been listening carefully to customer feedback and working diligently on a product development roadmap to implement those suggestions. The result is ProSBC, an enhanced session border controller offering that fits many more use cases in both service provider and enterprise applications. In this recorded webinar, we’re pleased to share with you an overview of ProSBC, explain its features, capabilities, target markets and use cases.

In this recorded webinar, we plan to explore opportunities for CPaaS, explain how service providers can integrate CPaaS into their existing networks and review a live customer case study of CPaaS in action.

ClueCon 2019 – Scaling Open Source Applications with SBCs

A recorded session from ClueCon 2019, Alan Percy shares a presentation on how SBCs can be used to scale open source applications using FreeSBC.   The session also introduces the advanced ProSBC offering from TelcoBridges.

No topic has generated as much interest, consumer complaints, and coordinated technical hurdles in telecommunications at the problem with illegal robocalling and the associated fraud.  We were astounded by the response to our “How To” webinar held in February, by far the most registrations, attendees and questions.   With over 137 questions in the queue at the end of the session, we thought it best to organize a follow-up, taking time to analyze the list of questions and come up with a TOP 10 FAQ.   Thanks for joining us today as we work through the STIR/SHAKE Frequently Asked questions

How to Implement STIR-SHAKEN

In 2018, both the FCC and the CRTC called on carriers that serve their jurisdictions to implement the STIR-SHAKEN framework without delay. Since then, many carriers have announced plans to implement STIR-SHAKEN within their networks by the end of 2019 or sooner.

TelcoBridges and TransNexus have teamed up to present an informational webinar, “Battling Robocallers – How to Implement STIR-SHAKEN”, to address this important industry-wide issue and describe effective, production-ready solutions that you can quickly deploy today.

Session Border Controllers – Top 10 FAQ

Over the last 12 months we’ve shared a lot of information about session border controllers, applications for SBCs, customer use cases, along with details on FreeSBC installation and configuration.   During that time, also been asked dozens of questions and done our best to answer every single one of them live during the event or in writing on the TelcoBridges forum.   With this milestone, we thought it was time to look back at the most popular and frequent questions.  So join us as we review our “Top 10” FAQ.

Firewalls, SIP Servers and SBCs – What’s the Difference?

There are a lot of building blocks that make up a reliable and secure voice network. Firewalls, SIP Servers and Session Border Controllers each play an important, but different, role in facilitating a secure and reliable network. Join us as we take a closer look at each in a modern voice network, answering the questions:

-What are they?
-Why do I need them?
-What do they do?
-What do they not do?

What is a SBC?  A closer look at the role of Session Border Controllers

In this session, we get “back to basics” and show the threats and underlying role that an SBC plays in modern IP communications solutions. During this session, you’ll learn about B2BUA, NAT, DOS/DDOS attacks, registration floods, topology hiding and more…

A Tutorial on STIR/SHAKEN – Presentation at Astricon 2018

Illegal Robocalling continues to grow and has long-since been the number one complaint to the FCC.  As a result, the regulatory bodies have required implementation of a method to validate the caller-ID, allowing screening of robocalls by consumers.   The STIR/SHAKEN framework is explained in this tutorial, during a live presentation at Astricon 2018.

SBCs in the Cloud – Presentation at Astricon 2018

As more voice applications move to the cloud, the need to protect them from attack must also move to the cloud.   Listen in as the role of session border controllers is explained, and an overview of use cases and cloud implementation issues are discussed.

This session was recorded during a live presentation at Astricon 2018.

FreeSBC How To Series – The Intelligent Edge

As networks grow in scale and complexity, the edge of the network is increasingly seen as the first line of defense for security, traffic shaping, quality monitoring and other network functions. Cloud software technologies and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) have created opportunities to migrate network functions from the core of a network to the edge.

During this session, we’ll look at the Intelligent Edge as a network strategy, covering the evolution, use cases and drivers made possible with low-cost NFV software.

Continuing on the “How To” series of installation and provisioning sessions, this 30-minute educational webinar offers an opportunity to learn the fundamental and advanced SIP routing functions found in FreeSBC.

Battling Robocallers – An Introduction to STIR/SHAKEN

Caller-ID spoofing is problem that regulators and service providers are taking very seriously. It’s not just annoying, it can be part of a phishing campaign where seniors and others are preyed upon. What’s stopping Robocallers from identifying themselves as being the IRS or FBI? The problem is that service providers have no means to verify that the number/name being offered as the caller-ID, is actually owned by the caller. Listen in to this recorded webinar to learn how service providers can put an end to caller-id spoofing and much of the fraud with the STIR/SHAKEN framework.
